PFS learning strategists craft solutions that blend time-tested modalities with the newest technologies and custom tools with off-the-shelf products and platforms.
Our strengths include the development and execution of needs assessment and performance analyses, definition of measurable performance results and training objectives, positioning and implementation of performance initiatives/learning solutions, identification of and formulation of responses to organization challenges, and evaluation of alternative solutions. In addition to working with the federal government in creating training programs, including one for Veterans Health Administration’s Community Employment Coordinators, we have also supported Georgetown University in developing and executive graduate program in health systems administration.
PFS experts ask the right questions and apply the appropriate tools and methodologies to develop solutions that meet clients’ business needs. Our domain knowledge and understanding of target populations combine with our expertise in instructional design and adult learning to provide high-impact and measurable learning experiences that translate into long-lasting results.
Women’s Health Mini-Residency for Women’s Health Providers and Nurses Training Program
The number of women Veterans is growing rapidly with increasing demands for healthcare. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has historically and primarily served male Veterans. In recent years, however, as women have served in greater numbers in all branches of the active military, there has been a subsequent increase in the number of women Veterans seeking care from VA. The mini-residency training program is intended to improve the women’s health familiarity, knowledge, and skills of primary care providers and nurses in rural areas to improve and enhance the quality of healthcare that women Veterans receive. Women’s Health Services (WHS) within the VA has contracted with PFS to obtain clinical instructors, gynecological teaching associates (GTAs), and an equipment support individual (ESI) to deliver and support the mini-residency training program at 35-40 rural Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) per year.
PFS is an Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). PFS serves the federal health and social services sectors with comprehensive expertise in management, healthcare IT, health education, strategy and operations, planning and technical assistance, change management, healthcare improvement, and business transformation.
