Titan Alpha Awarded Contract with VHA to Create Outreach Campaign for Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program
WASHINGTON, DC – Titan Alpha, a joint venture between Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) and Customer Value Partners (CVP), was awarded a contract to assist the Veteran Health Administration’s (VHA) National Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PMOP) Office. As part of VHA’s National Specialty Care Program Office, PMOP is responsible for pain, opioid, and prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) related initiatives and policies in VHA, the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system.
The mission of PMOP is to support a comprehensive and integrated approach to pain management that reduces pain and suffering and improves quality of life and functioning for Veterans experiencing acute or chronic pain. PMOP provides guidance and funding to support implementation of Pain and Opioid Safety initiatives, including legislative mandates and oversight requirements. The Titan Alpha team will collaborate with leaders to plan and implement an outreach and education campaign.
“We are excited to win this contract,” says Carl Fortune, PFS Vice President, Health Services Research & Evaluation. “We are already supporting other areas withing PMOP and the PDMP, so we are intimately familiar with the program and all that VA is doing to expand pain management for Veterans. Now, we can lend our communications and outreach expertise to help educate and engage with Veterans, Federal stakeholders, family and friends, and policy makers who support Veterans.”
The Titan Alpha team will provide Veterans with responsible and accurate information pertaining to pain management, opioid safety, and PDMP by means of an active digital web presence, education, training, and content dissemination.
