Prometheus Federal Services and Customer Value Partners Awarded Contract with Veterans Health Administration’s Center for Integrated Healthcare

WASHINGTON, DC – Titan Alpha, a joint venture between Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) and Customer Value Partners (CVP), was awarded a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Center for Integrated Healthcare (CIH). The mission of CIH is to improve the health care of Veterans through the integration of mental health into primary care and other medical settings. CIH serves as a national resource by providing training, clinical resources, and implementation support on evidence-based practices on how to address mental and behavioral health.

In its work to assist the CIH, the Titan Alpha team will focus on training and implementation activities that help medical teams, including embedded behavioral health providers (e.g., social workers, psychologists) learn about and use up-to-date evidence-based practices. For example, the team will support virtual simulations designed to assist in training medical team members in conducting patient-centered suicide prevention.

“As a team, we endeavor to help federal agencies impact the health and well-being of the populations they serve,” says PFS Vice President, Kamran Sartaj. “We look forward to supporting CIH and VA as they strive to improve the health of Veterans by giving medical teams some of the tools and training needed to make it happen.”

As the CIH regularly identifies new evidence-based practices that need to be disseminated to integrated medical teams, Titan Alpha will help build strategies and communicate these practices to the field. And, as CIH continues its expansion of focus from primary care to all medical settings, the team will provide research assistance and human resource support to help improve the effectiveness of CIH’s national resources available to support medical and behavioral health personnel.
