Titan Alpha’s Award-Winning Blog Highlighting VA’s National Oncology Program to Be Featured at AWC Conference

WASHINGTON, DC – Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is proud to announce Titan Alpha’s blog With TeleOncology, VA stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Veterans in rural areas to reduce disparities in cancer care recently won for exceptional work in Online Media and Journalism by the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) Clarion Awards. Titan Alpha, a joint venture between PFS and Atlas Research, an affiliate of CVP Group, LLC, supports the Veterans Health Affairs’ National Oncology Program with communication support.

The winning blog describes the National TeleOncology service and the benefits it provides to patients at VA centers that do not have an on-site oncologist. Now, more Veterans in rural and underserved areas have access to cancer-related screenings, diagnostics, and treatment– including rehabilitation and palliative care. Since its launch in 2019, approximately 5500 Veterans received high-quality cancer treatment through this VA program.

This blog and two other National Oncology Program blogs will be highlighted at the AWC National Professional Development Conference as examples of excellence in clear, concise communications.

“VHA is one of the largest providers of oncology services in the nation, and TeleOncology is a big piece of why that’s the case,” shares Greg Smallwood, CEO of PFS, the managing partner of Titan Alpha. “The more stories we tell about how VHA focuses on cancer prevention, detection, and innovative care, the more we can raise awareness about these services. This means more can get the care they need. We are honored to support VA’s mission through these stories we help tell.”

The Association for Women in Communications is an American professional organization that has been supporting women in the communications industry for more than 100 years.

Titan Alpha is a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) joint venture of PFS and Atlas Research, an affiliate of CVP Group, LLC. This joint venture is built upon a well-established partnership that dates to an October 2017 Mentor-Protégé Agreement between the two companies.
